A member of the Florida Bar since 2012, Amanda Davy is the newest attorney to join Mallard|Perez. Before joining Mallard|Perez, Amanda served as General Counsel to the Sarasota Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller where she was responsible for overseeing the organization’s legal strategy, managing compliance, and providing counsel on a wide range of legal matters. Prior to joining the Clerk’s Office, Amanda was an Assistant Public Defender in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, gaining over 8 years of experience handling trials and evidentiary hearings.
Amanda is a graduate of Sarasota’s Riverview High School where she earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. In 2007, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Amanda later earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami School of Law where she was the Director of the Wrongful Convictions Project and participated as an intern in the Center for Ethics and Public Service Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program.
Amanda currently serves as a Board Member of the Sarasota Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, a Barrister in the John M. Sheb American Inn of Court, and a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association. Believing strongly in the value of education, Amanda mentors high school students participating in Booker High School’s Law Academy. Away from the office, Amanda values spending time with her husband and 2 young daughters. She enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures and experiences in life.
